Description
Charity Parachute Jumps Requirements
You first need to have written permission to fundraise from the charity you wish to raise money for. The names of all the people participating must be in this letter.
Once you have the permission, either email info@skydive.ie or post to the Irish Parachute Club, Clonbullogue Airfield, Edenderry, Co. Offaly. We will then send you sponsor cards, information leaflets, and posters.
The parachute club offers a reduced cost of €280.00 each for charity jump (which would normally cost ‘€320 +booking fee) and we request you raise the same amount for the charity of your choice. For example, the total amount to be raised should be at least €560.00 per person. All money raised goes to your charity.
Once the fundraising is complete, please call 046 973 0103 to book your jump date and to arrange the payment of €280.00 per person.
Our booking office is open from 9am to 1pm – Monday to Friday.
There are two types of jumps you can do. Either tandem or solo jump.
A tandem jump is where you are attached to an expert tandem master and requires very little training. You jump from up to13,000 feet, free fall for 40 seconds were you’ll reach 200km per hour in 56 m/s down to 5,000 feet before opening the two-man parachute where you’ll get the chance to steer the parachute to the landing zone.
A solo jump is where you jump on your own requiring a lot more training beforehand, 6 hours in total. You jump from 3,500 feet and the parachute opens automatically via a static line as you exit the aircraft. (you may not jump on the same day as your training due to weather and time)
