The Board of Directors have been closely monitoring all updates surrounding the COVID-19 virus, together and in line with the government road map to recovery and following the H.S.E guidelines we are proposing these guidelines for the Return to normal operations at the Irish Parachute Club with a four phase plan. From Friday 19th June we will be entering stage one, which will involve opening for the ground-based activities as outlined below. This plan is of course subject to change in line with the Government guidelines and H.S.E developments. Please be advised that the Irish Parachute Club its servants, agents and members cannot guarantee your safety or prevent you from contracting Covid-19 while attending our facilities or flying on our aircraft. However, with your help we can minimise the risk.
|Stage 1: The airfield will be open for a limited time to facilitate preparation work and the acceptance of private gear for repacks. Saturday the 20th June will be the first of this year’s safety days and will be strictly limited to 40 participants, pre booking can be made by emailing the office at email@example.com confirmation will be made by return email on a first come first serve bases. Further safety day dates will be posted in conjunction with the CCI on Wednesday 10.06.20|
|Stage 2: Recurrence training for all staff and instructors will commence on Sunday the 21st June. C & D licenced skydivers may also attend. Formation skydives will be limited to 3 participants at this stage. This will depend on the individual’s experience and currency.|
|Stage 3: 27th June. All students, A & B licensed skydivers (except for tandems) will be welcome at this stage. Formation skydives will still be limited to 3 participants, this will depend on the individual’s experience and currency.|
|Stage 4: 11th July. Will see the return of tandem students, on a limited controlled basis. Formation skydiving can return to normal.|
Arrival at the drop zone
All participants and visitors to the IPC facilities must agree to having their temperature checked and will be required to sign a Covid 19 declaration upon arrival. Social distancing (2mtrs) must always be maintained and PPE will be worn by staff and visitors when necessary. Hand sanitising stations have been in all key areas around the DZ.
All vehicles must be parked on the grass area around the DZ, no parking will be permitted on the tarmac area outside the reception.
All students will be required to have their own p.p.e kits, these can be purchased on site.
Licenced Skydivers Declaration
Please be aware that anyone attending the IPC Facilities will be required to complete a Covid 19 declaration form and to have their temperature checked. All jumpers must have their annual subscription paid in full. If your reserve was recently repacked, it will need to be entered on to the manifest system. Social distancing must always be maintained in line with the government guideline of 2 meters when in and around the hanger area. The manifest and gear rooms will be out of bounds except for key personal. Formation skydives will be limited to 3 participants until we reach stage 4 on the 11th July. Please note any skydiver returning from abroad will not be allowed to attend the Irish Parachute Club until they have quarantined for at least two weeks (Proof may be required)
Recurrence training, the I.P.C will offer free AFF and Static line recurrence training for all students (trained at the IPC) for a limited period. Starting on Sunday 21st June and for the next four weekends until Sunday 12th July, maximum of 5 students per course.

PPE and face covering will be mandatory
All tandems students who had their tandem jump cancelled due to the shutdown can reschedule when the booking office reopens at the end of June. If you have a new date in mind already, please give us a call on 046 97 30103. Please note that each tandem student will be restricted to two spectators (family members) until further notice.
You will be able to bring your kit for a reserve repack. As well as 2mtr social distancing in the drop off, your rig will be left for 72 hours before the repack and for another 72 hours before you collect it. (there will be no extension on reserve packing regulations: – as directed by the CCI)
